I think this shoot wins the award for most rescheduled session due to weather. No joke– we rescheduled this mini-session at least five times due to torrential downpours, tornado warnings, and other Texas weather. But as I sit here and edit these images and look over this collection, I get a feeling that God was doing us a favor and saving this one for today, because y’all, the weather was GORGEOUS. I couldn’t have asked for a better day for pictures, which is kind of funny, because when I looked out my window about an hour before this session began and noticed dark clouds rolling in, I crossed my fingers, toes, and eyes that they would roll right back out without letting go of a single drop of rain. I guess those prayers worked because it didn’t rain, and this amazingness below finally happened. Seriously, how gorgeous is this family?! I so enjoyed hanging out with them and goofing off this afternoon as we took these pictures. It’s moments and sessions like this one that remind me just how truly blessed I am to be able to do what I love. Thanks Price family for asking me to take these for you. I hope you love your sneak peek!
I cannot tell you enough how much I loved this shoot. I loved their clothes, the colors, their smiles, the way they all interacted with each other…it was simply a gorgeous morning (high of 71 degrees!) as we traversed Towne Lake Park in McKinney. We discovered just how beautiful the east side of the lake can be when the sunlight pours in between the trees–and also just how seriously some people take disc golf. Haha! Am I right, Patels?! ;-P
But jokes aside, I know I am sharing a ton of images from this shoot, probably more than usual for a sneak peek, but I just COULD NOT choose between some of these. I love them all for so many different reasons. This is the second time I’ve been lucky enough to photograph this gorgeous family, and I’ve got to say, each shoot gets better than the last. I am already looking forward to our next shoot this spring, and it hasn’t even been 24 hours since we finished this one. They’re that fun, y’all. No joke! I hope you enjoy your sneak peek, Patel family. Thanks again for asking me to take them!
The first word that comes to mind when I think of this senior is spunk. And she’s got plenty of it. She is feisty, funny, goofy, and did I mention BEAUTIFUL??? Well, she is all of these things, and much, much more. We had a great time walking around last Tuesday on the streets of historical downtown McKinney. It was the last official day of summer and I think those golden rays of sunshine were pouring down just for us. I hope you love your pictures Alyssa! I had a great time goofing around with you and your momma and can’t wait until our spring session!
This girl is, in a word: stunning. I had never met her before today’s shoot, but I knew– the second she got out of her car– this shoot was going to be an easy one. I mean, seriously, how could it not have been? She’s a beauty for sure, but even more than that she was down for whatever and took direction so well. Sit there, smile here, look that way, HAPPY EYES! She took all my directions without batting an eye and didn’t even make fun of me and all the crazy, silly things I say while taking pictures! Haha! And as much as I appreciate that, I appreciate even more that she trusted me and my abilities to document this huge milestone in her life. Ellie, I hope you enjoy these pictures, and of course, your senior year, too. Can’t wait until our next session this spring!
This shoot began in downtown Van Alstyne at a quaint little cupcake shop called Sweet Olivia’s. My only regret from this shoot was that we got there just as the cupcake shop was closing up for the day. Those cupcakes looked amazing! But these two beauties more than made up for that cupcake with their sweetness and charm. They both swore that they’d never had their picture “really” taken before, but I’m not sure I believe them. They were just too good! Naturals, I tell you! Once we finished up on the streets of VA we decided to bring it back home to Anna and finish up the shoot at Natural Springs Park, and I am SO glad we did. The sun was beginning to set and that golden light just enveloped us and gave us all a big bear hug. It was a great end to an even greater day. Autumn and Jordan, I hope you both enjoy your sneak peek! I am so honored to have taken them! Enjoy the rest of your senior year!
